As with the previous lesson ( ~ take ~ from ) doing this lesson here in the sequence is different from the English Through Pictures textbook sequence. Sentences for the acts ("take" and "put") are long and complex for learners coming from Japanese. Making the change of view from "She put her bag in the box" to "Her bag is in the box. Her bag was in her hand." seems hard for some learners also. The pattern practice is good drill for the learners who have a grip on the sentence structure but are not able to say the sentence quickly or smoothly without more training. It is hard to get a strong grip on a new language with few chances to make use of the new language's sentences.
